THE CAT 2016 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD PROGRAM
Crappie Anglers of Texas (CAT) Scholarship program has 2 recipients this year. CAT awarded $2,000 to these deserving students. Our Program is a big success and we look forward to doing this next year!
The Crappie Anglers of Texas Scholarship Program (CATSP) seeks to identify high school seniors and college students who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must exhibit strong academic and leadership skills and must participate in community service activities.
Cody May received a $1,000 scholarship! He will be attending Texas A & M University in the fall. Cody is carrying a 3.8 GPA into his second year and will be majoring in Environmental Sciences. Some of his interests and hobbies include Aggies for Christ, Aggie Archers and the Texas A & M Wildlife Society. Cody also enjoys hunting and fishing. Cody’s essay was entitled “The True Meaning of the Hunt”.
Madison Waters received a $1,000 scholarship. This is her third year attending Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA with a 4.0 GPA, majoring in Public Health, minor in Biology. Madison enjoys traveling, reading, yoga and volunteering. Her essay was on “Fishing: An Experience”.
